Astronomic Pastrana Gallery!

St Louis Supercross 2009, his bike broke..

Travis Pastrana is an icon of action sports who has almost seen as much success of two wheels as  has four. He also happens to be considered be a living legend within the walls of FreestyleXtreme. So, with the news today that Travis and wife Lyn-Z are expecting their first child together, we thought we could use that as enough of an excuse to post up this gallery that looks back through his career...

Suddenly... Tractor!

Dirtbike versus tractor: who will win? Who are we trying to kid - we know the answer to that already.

Doesn't stop this video from looking any less painful, though. Where the hell did 'Farmer Carnage' come from? Where was he going? Why did it take so long for someone to see if the rider was okay?

Speaking of which, as this video is officially called 'Izak Vs Steel Giant - Round 1' and uploaded by a user called Izak Kaubscher, we can reasonably assume he fixed up okay in the end and, worryingly, that he may have collided with other pieces of farm machinery since. Guess we'll find out soon enough...

Mighty Meat Cooking With DJ BBQ

This might not be the sort of thing that you will normally expect to see on the FSX blog but, as Christian is a friend of FSX, we felt it our duty to share this with you. And perhaps make you mouth wateringly hungry in the process.

Christian Stevenson is a man of many talents: TV presenting. Providing voiceovers for videogames (like Dirt: Showdown). Skating and Snowboarding. Even setting dancefloors alight at partying with his disc-mixing powers. He also turns out to be fond of a spot of cooking as his alter ego, DJ BBQ.

As one of the chefs on Jamie Oliver's Food Tube channel, DJ BBQ has been whipping up a storm with his unorthodox approach to cooking and fashion - as we see with this colossal Texan Brisket.

Does it help to have a barbecue that looks like someone gutted Thomas the Tank Engine? Do you need to have a creepy cabin in the woods in order to make it? No and no. Are you craving 18-hour slow-cooked meat right now? Yes. Yes you are.

2013 FMX Farm Jam Highlights

New Zealand's Farm Jam looks like one hell of an impressive event for a Freestyle location. In fact, if you squint your eyes real tight and look really carefully, you'll spot Frodo and Samwise on their journey to Mordor in the background.

This year, the Unit Farm Jam, attracted some great freestyle motocross, BMX and MTB talent, who clearly relished the chance to get stuck into the incredible jumps.

The 2013 winners were Nick Franklin (FMX), Andreu Lacondeguy (MTB) and Kyle Baldock (BMX).

Also, check out some footage from the MTB contest below:

Catching Up With Alias Rider Wil Hahn

In the very near future, we will be stocking an impressive range of Alias MX gear, and GEICO Honda casual wear on the FreestyleXtreme site.

Alias may have only been launched in the summer of 2012 but the fledgling MX brand has already made great strides in the world of Motocross. Thanks to a partnership with Geico Honda, Alias sponsored 2012 MX Lites champion Eli Tomac with a full range of race wear, protective gear, gloves and casual wear and this year support Justin Bogle, Zach Bell, Zach Osborne and William Hahn.

That last name will be particularly familiar, after Hahn picked up a win at Atlanta in the 250 SX East, putting him second in the running in the championship, behind Dean Wilson. Take a look at this interview with Wil above and get ready to match his look very soon!

Thailand MX GP Track Preview

This year, for the first time ever, the FIM World Motocross Championship will be holding a round in Thailand.
The Thailand GP will be held in Si Racha, on the east coast of Thailand, for Round 2 of the Championships on the 10th March. But what does it look like?

Thanks to Vurbmoto and three time Thai MXoN rider Trakarn Thanthong, we can take a look at it. With less than two weeks to go, there is still clearly plenty to be done but one thing is for certain - expect a strong performance from any home talent!

Reckon we would pitch up our place to watch somewhere around turn 8...

Monster Energy Yamaha 2013 Team Video

We promised to show you some more of the 2013 Monster Energy Yamaha World Motocross Championship Team and here's the official video. Check out Steven Frossard, Joel Roelants and Christophe Charlier doing what they do best, putting their YZ450FM and YZ250FM machinery to work in the dirt!

Are we the only ones that expected them to bust out some dance moves when they were all stood there, looking moody on the rocks? Not sure what sort of impression that might have given but it would have been awesome. No? Just us them...

James Stewart Wins Round 8 Of The 2013 Supercross At Atlanta!

Pic: www.vurbmoto.com
Much of the time, being a fan of James Stewart can be a thankless task but the Yoshiruma Suzuki rider and his legion of loyal supporters finally had something to celebrate for Round 9 of the 2013 Supercross with a victory at Atlanta.

It has been 350 days since Stewart last stood at the top of the podium but, after his performance at the weekend, where he smashed out great times in practise and qualifying, then topped it off with a holeshot and unchallenged race out in front, he made winning look way easier than he has found it up until this point.

That's not to say that Stewart wouldn't have found the race tough - Ryan Villopoto spent the whole race breathing down his neck and finished just 1.46 seconds behind him as they crossed the finish line.

Further down the field, current points leader Davi Millsaps battled things out with Justin Brayton and Justin Barcia (who had a slight tangle with each other, leaving Brayton worse off) to eventually secure 3rd, ahead of Barcia.

Trey Canard and Ryan Dungey spent most of the race challenging each other, with Canard eventually holding off the KTM riders for 5th.

It was another unfortunate night for Chad Reed, whose confidence seems to be fading as each race passes. It was a less than textbook performance from him, who had to settle with a 10th place, being over a second off the leaders' lap times all weekend.

So, with Millsaps 22 points ahead of Villopoto on the run up to Round 10 at St Louis and 225 points left to be claimed until the end of the championship, there is still no outright winner set in stone. Who knows what could be in store for next weekend?!

Jeremy 'Twitch' Stenberg: On The Block

Nobody can say that Twitch doesn't give plenty of love to his fans. In addition to all his work with underprivileged youngsters, he also knows how to put together a pretty sweet edit to show us how he spends some of his days.

This 10 minute vid is packed with action and features the likes of Lance Coury, Josh Hansen, Justin Ayres, Brian McGnarls and more whippin', flippin' and scrapin'. Check it out

Plus, it also features the happiest looking dirtbike we think we've ever seen:

"Dude...I'm a bike. I'm a bike...dude..."

Don't forget to take a look at our latest collection of Twitch X Famous Stars and Straps colab range too!

Teaser: 2013 Monster Energy Yahama Motocross World Championship Team

The first round of the FIM World Motocross Championship kicks off on the 2nd March in Losail and Yamaha recently gave us a teasing glimpse of the new bikes and the new team (Steven Frossard and Joel Roelants for MX1, and Italian MX2 Champion Christophe Charlier). Apparently there will be a more detailed reveal later today so stay tuned!

Friday Throwdown: Too Cool For School

Being cool is a very subjective thing. But we think that the general consensus is that the harder you try to be it, the less likely you are to achieve it. If you agree then this week's Friday Throwdown is just for you. This selection of Tees doesn't feature big branding, massive logos or in-your-face colours. But they do feature a hip design, subtle pop culture reference and discreet branding. It also gives us the chance to shout about some of our more underground brands on FSX, such as King, Dephect or DTA.

1. Unit Sweet Tooth Tee (£22.99)
2. Volcom Stone Love Overdye (£32.99)

Davi Johnson FMX Body Varial POV

It wasn't that long ago that the body varial was a trick that only the most daredevil of FMX riders could execute. But time moves on and now even new kids on the block need to be able to perform a 360 spin on the seat on their bike.

The latest of which is Davi Johnson, a young Texan Freestyle rider hoping to break into the game. Challenged by Drift camera team rider Javier Villegas, in a less-than-glamourous trailer park setting, to pull-off the move and capture the action with two Drift cameras. Take a look...

The Cliche R/C Car Chase

We know what you're thinking. You've seen this before, right? Nope - that one was by filmmaker and VFX whizz Freddie Wong. This is by someone else. But arguably just as good.

And hey, if you don't want to watch two radio controlled cars racing and filmed in a cinematic style, you go and do something better then let us know about it.

Dirt Shark At Dallas

As we now have come to demand, here is the weekly video from the dudes at Dirt Shark - this time getting in on the action at the Dallas Supercross.

We know you had to make do without your FreestyleXtreme race review (how do you cope without it?) but, in amongst the bouncy Monster Energy Girls and delicious Dirt Sharklets, is everything you need to know anyway: Villopoto romped home first, Millsaps and Dungey finished 2nd and 3rd, with Chad Reed hanging onto 4th as the aforementioned stormed passed him.

Another less-than-perfect weekend for James Stewart and yet more ammunition for those that think being a JS7 fan is a tough gig. Despite another strong performance in practise and qualifying, poor Bubba suffered a busted clutch on his Suzuki moments before the race started...

BREAKING: James Stewart Becomes First Suzuki Rider Whose Dog Has Twitter

If you're into the Motocross scene and want to keep up-to-date with all of the latest, breaking news - we've got a game-changer.

It's official: James Stewart's dog (Baby Bo) has twitter. We've been closely monitoring Bo's tweets and can report that so far, they are mostly related to steaks or "daddy's Supercross".

We're going to be posting updates on this story as it breaks, and we'll keep you posted.

When we said breaking news, technically speaking he joined twitter on 15th February, but hey no one else covered the story..

Red Bull X-Fighters 2013: Video Preview

We have already gave you guys a brief rundown of where on the globe the 2013 Red Bull X Fighters will be stopping at. But there's absolutely no harm getting another, closer look with Tes Sewell, Sport Director of X-Fighters and finding out more.

Interestingly, we notice that they have casually changed the Dubai event from the base of the Burj Al Arab to the Burj Khalifa - the tallest building in the world. But then, there aren't really any shortage of spectacular venues out in the UAE, are there..?

First event kicks off in Mexico City on March 8th. Why not take a look at our range of Red Bull and X-Fighters merchandise in preparation?

900 Horsepower Truck On The Ski Slopes!

Are you sick of those godforsaken Harlem Shake videos that seem to be everywhere at the moment? Yep, us too. So, have a 900 horsepower truck driving up a ski slope instead...

Here off-road racer Ricky Johnson takes a Pro-4 truck to the hills of Mount Snow in Vermont for part of the Red Bull Frozen Rush event to scare the crap out of some skiers...

Mini Backflip On Snow?

If you've read the title, chances are you're thinking Travis Pastrana has landed another incredible small backflip..

Nope, that's not the case! Frenchman Guerlain Chicherit has become the first person to land a backflip, in a car. It's the Mini Countryman and is closely based on the machine that Stéphane Peterhansel took to victory in the 2013 Dakar Rally.

Taking place in the French Ski resort of Tignes, the jump consisted of a metal ramp, and a gigantic snow landing. Observant readers will remember Rhys Millen trying it several years ago (2008), but had a couple of enormous accidents.

Our opinion? Not bad, but it's not as impressive as it sounds..

2013 Le Touquet Beach Race Highlights

Every year since 1975, Le Touquet - a popular holiday resort in the north of France - becomes the home to over 1000 dirt bike and quad riders and over 150 thousand fans for the annual Enduropale Quaduro race. The 17km race takes place on the beaches and dunes of Le Touquet and is quite the site to behold.

This year's race, held at the start of February, may have ended in controversy, but that doesn't stop from being any less spectacular. Take a look at the video above to see what went down.

Downhill MTB Compilation

Want a great way to start your Friday morning? Then check out this compilation of MTB Downhill action. Although the action is thrilling, the music is oddly soothing - like we're watching Drive or something.

While you won't see any footage Ryan Gosling being violent, you will see a ton of awesome tricks, insane bravery and plenty of dirt eating. Enjoy.

Supercross: Arlington Animated Track

Get a taste of round 7 of the 2013 Supercross with this animation of the Arlington track. We also notice that one eagle-eyed viewer has spotted that the animation has started making predictions for the finishes now too. Pause the video at 0:38 and see that the video has called a Chad Reed - Ryan Villopoto - James Stewart finish. How accurate will this be on the day?

2013 WRC Rally Sweden Highlights

IF you want to keep you hand in with the happenings in this year's WRC, this great recap video from Red Bull will keep you well up to speed. That new VW Polo R really freakin' shifts, doesn't it? It takes a brave (and fast) man to take a win away from the Swedes...

Dirt Shark At San Diego

Looks like the ladies were out in force at the San Diego Supercross last weekend. Or, at least, the guys from Dirt Shark knew where they were all hiding. They really have a tough life, chatting to all the top riders and hanging out with Monster Girls. We're not jealous one bit. No sir.

Mega Maddo Gallery

With Robbie Maddison's incredible Air.Craft movie hitting YouTube earlier this week, we thought we would take a visual look back at the Australian Freestyle star's illustrious career. If you ever wondered why Maddo is so highly respected as a rider, some of these pictures will give you a pretty good idea!

Unit Farm Jam: Freestyle In New Zealand

Located in the picturesque Frew Farm, in southern New Zealand, the Farm Jam is a one-of-a-kind dirt course event created within the hillsides of the Frew family home. It's existence has helped cultivate much of New Zealand's Freestyle talent, including 2012 X-Games winner Levi Sherwood and the first BMXer to land a triple backflip, Jed Mildon.

The appeal of Frew Farm attracts athletes from all over New Zealand and Australia including Kyle Baldock, Mike 'Hucker' Clark and TJ Ellis and was the home for 22 international athletes during the competition. This feature, created and presented by Unit Clothing, shows just what makes the Farm Jam so special (it was the location for the first ever BMX triple backflip, for starters) and how the Frew brother prepare for this spectacular event.

Motocross Freestyle In A Casino

So, you've already seen Robbie Maddison in an Airplane Graveyard this morning. Why not watch
Gavin Godfrey ride a motocross bike through the Eureka Casino in Nevada this afternoon?

This particular jaunt is to advertise Nitro Circus visiting the Mesquite Off-road Weekend on Feb 22nd-23rd. You can find out more at the Facebook page: http://facebook.com/mesquiteoffroad/

Robbie Maddison's Air.Craft Movie

We've waited patiently and here it is: Robbie Maddison and DC's Air.Craft movie!

Robbie ‘Maddo’ Maddison is no stranger to danger. In fact, the two must be pretty good buddies by now. Over the course of his illustrious career, the daredevil motocross rider has picked up X Games medals, won rounds of the Red Bull X Fighters and completed some of the most daring, record-breaking stunts ever seen. Maddo is the only man in the world who has backflipped London’s Tower Bridge, jumped a replica of the Arc de Triomphe in Paris, leapt the Corinth Canal in Greece and flew nearly 400 feet over the San Diego Bay. He’s even acted as Daniel Craig’s stunt double in the recent James Bond movie Skyfall. Not your average day job.

So, when Maddo and his chief sponsor DC Shoes announced a new short film called Air.Craft would drop early February, we could not wait to see what the daring Aussie had up his sleeve.

Filmed in the famous Mojave Airplane Graveyard (known as ‘the Boneyard’) amongst over 4000 retired military aircraft, Maddo has once again raised the bar for bravery and freestyle innovation. Check out the Air.Craft video above!

Ryan Villopoto: Story Of A Champion

There will be many of you who will be unable to muster a shred of sympathy for multi-millionaire and multiple Supercross champion Ryan Villopoto. However, his path to success has come at the expense of his childhood, a traditional relationship with his family, alienating his siblings and bringing his father the brink of financial ruin.

Would you be prepared sacrifice as much and have the livelihood of your own parents resting on your success in order to have the same? No wonder RV can come across the wrong in interviews.

If you've got the time, this documentary is well worth a watch and you may see Villopoto in a different light by the end. Let us know what you think in the comments below!

Davi Millsaps Wins San Diego Supercross

              PIC:www.vitalmx.com
How long has Davi Millsaps been referred to as the Magic Man? We don't know. Still, after his spell-binding performance at San Diego we think the nickname sounds quite appropriate. After an incredible start that nabbed him the holeshot and a two second leap by Lap 2, Davi lead round 6 of the 2013 Supercross from start to finish. Without putting a foot wrong all race, while smashing out the fastest laps (and giving Suzuki its first win at San Diego) we're not surprised that his championship lead is now 19 points ahead of Dungey.

If only Chad Reed could say that he had as successful a night. After pressuring Millsaps for the first half of the race and making everyone things that San Diego's most 'winningest' rider could add a 7th venue win to his record, we all let out a despairing groan when he lost traction on a corner during lap 10 and fell from his bike. The mistake saw him fall back to 7th and he could only claw a 5th by the end of the night. Bad luck, Reedy.

Chad's mistake ultimately ended up playing into the hands on Justin Barcia who could sit comfortably behind Millsaps while everyone else had to fight their way past Justin Brayton. Which Ryan Dungey and James Stewart managed for 3rd and 4th respectively.

There wasn't much action from Villopoto during the race, who languished in the middle of the pack after a bad start. He did manage to fight his way up to 4th by lap 15, only to get busted back down to 6th by Reed and Stewart. Is RV likely to retain his championship for 2013? It's far from impossible but he's gonna have a far harder time achieving it this year.

Another thrilling race and another massive night for Millsaps, who is clearly have the time of his life in this championship so far. What could be in store for Arlington next weekend? The way this season is unfurling, your guess is as good as ours...

Celebs Turn On The Hype For Robbie Maddison's Air.Craft Movie

Robbie Maddison and DC's Air.Craft short film drops later on today but the cream of the action sport crop got to take a look at the movie a few days ago.

While we don't expect anyone to say anything negative after being invited to a premiere showing, we must admit to getting a little bit more psyched up about watching it than we were before. Keep an eye on YouTube for the real thing but we'll be posting it here the second we spot it!

In the meantime, take a look at our range of Maddo gear from DC, including the Robbie Maddison Pro Spec 3.0, the DC Madd Hatter New Era Cap, DC Madstar T-Shirt and DC/Troy Lee Maddo MX kit

Chad Reed: My Way - Preparing For San Diego

Do any other riders put the same level of pressure of themselves as Chad Reed does? In this latest episode of My Way, it's clear that the Aussie needs a big win or a to performance to really boost his confidence. We know he can do better. He knows he can do better. Even Trey Canard, who is out training with the TwoTwo Motorsports Rider/Boss, reckons Reed can deliver.

So, fair play to Gregg Godfrey (creator of Nitro Circus) to come along and give him a pep talk. And what better way than to remind him of the time he encouraged Chad to perform a back flip and then attempt to blow him up with explosives?

We're sure we aren't the only ones hoping that Chad Reed will deliver something special at San Degio. We're rooting for you, Chad!

FMX And Drifting At The Qatar Motorshow

Is it always party time in these Arab states? It certainly seems like they know how to have a good time. Of course, it helps that the Qatar Motorshow was in town, bringing along Red Bull and their talented collection of Freestyle and Rally athletes.

In particular, the rather lovely Burcu Cetinkaya - a female rally driver from Turkey who we might have fallen in love with a little bit. So, as a bonus, check out this video below of Burcu in action behind the wheel.

Michael Laverty: Testing Success In Sepang!

Recently we reported how FreestyleXtreme athlete Michael Laverty (check the logo on his testing leathers below) had moved up to MotoGP from the British Superbike Championship for the 2013 season. Riding for Paul Bird Motorsport on an Aprilia, it looks like the man from Toomebridge, Northern Ireland has got off to a flying start!

In fact, during testing is Sepang over the last few days, he put in a lap time that ranks him 2nd amongst the other CRT bikes and ten places above his team-mate Yonny Hernandez. Not bad for a MotoGP rookie. Nice work, Michael! Check him out in the video above, around the 9 minute mark.

Danny Hart: Training In Spain

It must be tough for 2011 Downhill World Champion. While we are all freezing our backsides off in the UK. He's over in sunny Malaga with Roost DH getting some practise in before the the 2013 UCI Mountain Bike World Cup kicks off in May... Wait a minute... that doesn't sound tough at all!

Ah well, nobody said throwing yourself down the side of a mountain was easy...

Oakley Reveals New Airbrake MX Goggle

With assistance from Ricky Carmichael, Ryan Dugney, Eli Tomac and James Stewart Oakley unveiled the brand new Oakley Airbrake MX Goggles to huge fanfare.

As far as product launches go, this has got to be one of the most impressive we have seen. But, through RC's burnout smoke, Inception-style 'BRAAAAHM' music and Poto's gushing praise, what do we know about the "Swiss Army knife of MX Goggles'? Er, not much but our contact at Oakley tells us it has 'special impact protection lenses' and offers a 'great view even though it is rip and roll'. It also looks like the entire lens can be swapped over in super fast time, a device that Oakley have already employed for its Snow Goggles.

More will be revealed on March 1st 2013, but the aforementioned pro riders have already been putting them through their paces since Anaheim and first reports suggest they really are all they are cut out to be. Hopefully we'll get some in stock as soon as they are available!

Red Bull Stratos: The Final Facts

For the last three months, Red Bull has been doing some serious number crunching to get the official statistics for Felix Baumgartner's incredible Red Bull Stratos freefall jump from space. We were sent all the facts and figures in a massive press release yesterday but, to be honest, all the numbers made our eyes hurt.

Conveniently, Red Bull are well aware that most people are lazy sods who don't like reading lots of words, so they made this dramatic CGI recreation of the event with some easy-to-digest figures. Bit of a shame they didn't recreate his worrying Mach 1.25 spin as he dropped to earth but maybe they're saving that for another day.

Couple of things we did pick up from the press release that this video doesn't explain: Baumgartner's maximum vertical speed has been revised to 843.6 mph (up from 833.9 mph) but the distance he jumped has been recalculated to 38,969.4 m (from 39,045 m). So, much easier then.

Cody Webb Wins 2013 King Of Motos

2010 National Trials Champion Cody Webb triumphed over last year's winner Graham Jarvis at the 2013 King of Motos in Johnson Valley, California last weekend.

The King of Motos is one of the most brutal Enduro events on the calender, taking place over 160 miles of punishing boulder climbs, mountain descents and high-speed desert racing. Taking a 'one rider, one bike' format (meaning no outside assistance or even help from the pits) just half the riders made it through to the finish, hoping to pick up the $7,500 main prize.

MotoGP Crash Reel

Few athletes know how to crash with quite as much style as the MotoGP boys. This rather excellent compilation (click the picture to take you to the vid) is a great collection of impressive spills that reminds us quite how skillful and close to the edge these guys are racing. Check it out!

Robbie Maddison Is Up To Something: Air.Craft

It's been a while since we saw Aussie stunt riding extraordinaire Robbie Maddison attempting another mindblowing trick. But now he's up to... something.

This teaser video doesn't give much away - other than the fact that Maddo is atop a shipping crate hoisted into the sky by a massive crane. The trick itself has been called Air.Craft, so it would be safe to assume that he's likely to be on a runway or at an airport or something.

Either way, DC Shoes will be dropping the video (and hopefully not the shipping crate) sometime on 11th Feburary. Stay tuned!

Update 6th February. DC have released a trailer that gives us a bit more of an idea what Maddison is up to in the video below:

Up Close With Millsaps' Rockstar Suzuki RM-Z450

With Davi Millsaps making such regular appearances on the podium these days, we thought it might be worth taking a closer look at his bike to see if it holds an secrets to his recent success.

Thankfully, Transworld Motocross have done exactly that and it sounds like Davi's Suzuki MX-Z450 is an absolute beast: arm-ripping torque, aggressive brakes, hyper-sensitive steering, foot pegs 'like razorblades'... it sounds terrifying. Still, its this violent-sounding set-up that is clearly contributing to his current position as the red plate holder, so take a look!

Ryan Dungey Wins Round 5 Of 2013 Supercross At Anaheim III

Photo: Speed TV
People have been comparing this year's Supercross to the 2012 F1 season and its easy to see why: after five rounds there have been four different riders standing at the top spot of the podium. Back-to-back wins from Ryan Villopoto had us fearing the start of another RV whitewash Anheim III saw Ryan Dungey emerge as the winner.

Dungey had an appalling time in the qualifying heat races, but the main event looked like a walk in the park. Even with Justin Brayton picking up the Holeshot and Mike Alessi leading the first lap, Dungey had established a place out front by lap 2, made easier thanks to Alessi falling on a corner sortly after he was overtaken. It was a lead that he carried through to the checkered flag without much in the way of a threat from the riders behind him.

While Dungey will be pleased with his solid performance, Chad Reed seems to be continuing his run of back luck, thanks to another multi-rider accident on the third corner of the first lap that took both Brayton and Ryan Villopoto out of contention. Reed managed to salvage 16 points by the end of the race but Villopoto had to settle with an 8th place.

Fans of James Stewart finally had something to cheer about with his best performance of the championship so far, who was riding in 2nd place until lap 13 when he had to give up places to a determined Davi Millsaps (who keeps the red plate and now boasts a 14 point lead) and Justin Barcia who snatched a place back on the podium after a couple of races sat out thanks to accidents.

We're just under a third of the way through the 2013 championship and we still don't think anyone could confidently pick who will be champion. Roll on San Diego!

Sister Sessions: Girls In BMX

It's 2013 and for some reason that we can in no way comprehend, women who ride BMX still seem to be getting a hard time in the industry. Haven't we moved on from the whole 'boys are better than girls' thing?

If this short movie is anything to go by, apparently not. Faced with hostile reactions and even reluctant event organisers, female BMX riders are still surprisingly thin on the ground.

This video is quite an eye-opener and we hope that the efforts of those brave few is enough to encourage more girls into the sport. What do you lot think about the situation?
